Return in Discussions/Chats and Channels

In BasicOps, you can customize what pressing return does in different places throughout the platform. There is a setting for both Project/Task Discussions and Chats/Channels. In both of these settings you can select between return adding a new line or return sending your message/posting your discussion.

To access the setting for Discussions:

1. Open Settings.
2. Under My Account, select Preferences.
3. Scroll down to Press Return in Discussions.

Note: You can also change this setting while typing in Discussions. If you press Shift + Return, you will be able to click a text pop-up. (Image below)

To access the setting for Chats and Channels: 

1. Open Settings.
2. Under My Account, select Chats and Channels.
3. Locate Press Return in Chat/Channels.

Note: You can also change this setting while sending a message in Chats and Channels. If you press Shift + Return, you will be able to click a text pop-up. (Image below)

After you have clicked the highlighted

text in the image above, you will see the

prompt in the image to the right..
