Agent User
An AI agent that takes a real seat on your team inside BasicOps. You build the agent on any platform, connect it over MCP, and give it a name, a persona, and permissions — and it takes on a role, owns tasks, joins conversations, and works inside your projects the same way a team member does, with a human in control.

Agent User Skill
A paste-ready starting persona — voice, working rules, example prompts, and guardrails — that you drop into an Agent User's instructions so it feels like a real team member from day one. BasicOps ships Agent User Skills for common roles, including Project Manager, Research Analyst, Writer, Executive Assistant, and Legal Counsel.

Calendar

Channels
Shared conversation spaces accessible from the ChatBar. Channels are open to all relevant team members and are designed for ongoing discussions around a topic, team, or project. Unlike direct chats, channels persist over time and don't require selecting individual participants.

Custom fields
User-defined data fields that can be added to tasks to track information beyond the defaults, such as priority, budget, or department. Admins can create and manage custom fields in Settings.
For more information: Custom Fields
Discussions
Comment threads attached to a project or task. Discussions are visible to all team members with access to that project or task and everyone can contribute. Use discussions to keep conversations in context, alongside the work they relate to.

Due date
The date by which a task is expected to be completed. Due dates appear in task views, the Calendar view, and the Timeline view.

Left Side Bar
The main navigation area for BasicOps. The Left Side Bar is where you can choose between Home, Feed, Tasks, or Projects. You can also find personal Notes and Settings in the bottom left corner of the Left Side Bar.
